Parks Canada Lookout Tower

I am sure most of you know of the Bruce Peninsula National Park, but are you aware of the NEW Parks Canada Visitor Centre and their Lookout Tower? The centre along with the lookout tower opened last summer with rave reviews. It is a great place to start in the park with lots of cool exhibits to check out and a lighthouse to walk through. Save some time to take in their movie “Life on the Edge” you won't be disappointed!

With 112 stairs to the top you can imagine the view. You can see Flowerpot Island, Bears Rump, and if it is a really clear day you can see down Georgian Bay along the Niagara Escarpment to Cabot Head Lighthouse and all the way across to Manitoulin Island.

Spend some time in the park and share your experience with us. We would love to hear from you.

This looks scary - do I need to wear a helmut?

Hey valiant,

No you don't need to wear a helmet. It is a lot of fun, and view is spectacular! The tower was built last year, and has given many visitors a great panaramic view of the parks, and Georgian Bay.
